As most of you know I am an emotional person. I am not ashamed to admit it. I am! Very emotional. I have had a rough year. A rough year with my health (mental and physical) and some personal things that I have been working on for awhile. We are all a working progress. But no matter what, I have just learned to slow down and just TRUST IN JESUS because HE is the only one that will always be there.
Last week was rough. I had some issues with some friends and was just feeling "down in the dumps". You know, you feel awfully lonely sometimes when you feel you have no "real" friends other than on Facebook (which I deactivated for awhile). I was in a funk and nobody was going to shake me out of it.
Until a trip to Target...
Target??? You say Target??? EVERY trip to Target is special for me. ESPECIALLY without kids! Am I right mamas?
Well, this one was different. Life changing actually. It all started with a trip down the dollar aisle. Oh the beloved dollar aisle! I LOVE that aisle. I seriously have an addiction. Really. Anyway, as I was digging through the goodies, searching for some special stocking stuffers for my little ones I came across a dollar bill stuffed behind some items. Of course it caught my eye! So I reached back and snatched it up hoping that it was a $20 and I'd be $20 richer. Well, it was only $1. But not just any dollar bill. This one lit me up. It almost made me cry. With all that had occurred that week it is just what I needed.
Whoever put this dollar bill into the dollar bin did it for a reason. They had MEANT for somebody to find it and I am thankful that it was me. It reminded me that I am not alone in this world. All of the hurt and pain and frustrations of this world are not mine. They belong to JESUS. THEY WERE HIS FROM THE MOMENT HE DIED ON THAT CROSS and I just need to trust that HE will bring me through anything, no matter what. Why? Because HE LOVES ME.
And HE LOVES YOU.
So if you are struggling with anything..ANYTHING it does not matter. God's love for you is much BIGGER than your friend's, your kid's or even your spouse's love. Always remember that.
HE LOVED YOU FIRST.
